For this pumpkin I painted the entire thing light blue. Next I took a small sponge and gradually transitioned to a dark purple at the top, while leaving a light blue at the bottom. For the stars I took a toothbrush and flicked cream coloured paint all around the pumpkin.
For the foreground I painted floating yellow-orange blocks to be the lights in the house. This part took a while because the back ground was much darker than the foreground in some areas. I had to layer paint to make them yellow orange instead of green.
After I finished the yellow windows I painted the silhouette of the house and a few tomb stones and a tree to make it seem spooky. Lastly I took a sponge and created a good sized moon with the same cream coloured paint I used for the stars with bird silhouettes
